The client came to us with a very clear vision in his mind, seeing himself sitting on the porch and looking down the valley with a coffe in his hand. The proposed object of the summer house is located in western part of Slovakia in the southwest part of the village called Hrašné. The plot has regular rectangular shape with east - west orientation and has a slightly sloping character. Bigger of 2 existing objects standing on the plot had static problems, so we designed our proposal around its foundations which we kept in place and used them as a support for the new structure. The floor plan of the summer house is of a simple rectangular shape, which is placed on the top of the demolished object and thus allowing maximum use of a sunny south with a nice view to the valley. First floor is dedicated for a daily activities of the client. Top floor under the pitched roof serves as a sleeping area for his childern with their families during their stay. Overhanging parts of the pitched roof provide shade in the summer and protection against weather conditions.
