As cheap as possible is the motto of this renovation project. The plot is located in the village Lozorno in western part of Slovakia, with a direct view at the local football pitch. The floor plan of the existing house is a simple rectangular shape, with an entrance from the side. However, the original layout of the 3 story building no longer meets client´s requirements. The proposal envisages optimizing the layout of the 1st floor so that it can provide sufficient comfort for the family of 6. In order to enlarge and connect the kitchen with the living room, we propose an intervention in the load-bearing wall of the house and its subsequent replacement with a steel structure made of beam and columns. To improve the lighting conditions in the living and dining area we proposed bigger windows with an exit to the loggias of the house, thus enabling a better connection between the exterior and the interior.
